Family Activities: the festival offers a day of great fun packed family entertainment including;

• 'Seedpod theme' Twilight Lantern Pageant
• Environmental Speakers and Displays
• Global Village
• Inter-faith Prayer Tent
• and Free World Music Workshops 1.30pm - 5.30pm

Pre Festival Seedpod Art Workshops

Festival Aims:

•    To raise awareness of the uniqueness and value of the Mary River to our and the earths sustainability.
•    To engender community ownership and cooperative spirit of care for the river
•   To celebrate our wonderful environment and lifestyle together as a community.
•    Celebrate and raise awareness of the wealth and abundance the river brings to the region, sustaining rural and urban populations.
•   To appreciate the history of the river during and pre white settlement.
•   Sustainable ways to hold the festival in the future.

The Mary River Festival is Coordinated by Cooloola Community Arts Council, Multicultural Information Network Services Inc., Community Development and Mary River Catchment Coordinating Committee.
